Nov 2009
Welcome to the Palmer/Hawkins Family Tree, a project that started almost 10 yrs ago, begining with my grandparents Nathan Alonzo Palmer and Bessie Myrtle Hawkins, who met and married in eastern Washingtons wheat country and finally settled in Etna, Ca. I thank all who contributed and participated, and hope continue to do so in the future. An honorable mention must go to my father Richard B. Palmer (1914-2008). Without his significant efforts and support this would never have gotten as far as it did. Although we all may have interest in the Ancestors, it was his interests and efforts that developed the Decendancy so well. With he and his sister Faye's recent passing another generation joins those who walked the path of life before us.

"TO THE MEMORY OF ALL THOSE WHO BROUGHT US TO BE WHO WE ARE"
This site is dedicated to the Ancestors and Decendants of Nathan Alonzo Palmer and his wife Bessie Myrtle Hawkins. As members of the family you are welcome to contribute to this site. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me on any needed corrections or edits. You should find these files printable in a number of forms. Feel free to do so, and please sign my Guest Book and leave an e-mail. *******************
** Hawkins Lineage** is correct back to Joseph Langford Hawkins & Ann P Robinson and (his) parents John Hawkins and wife Mary Langford. The next father back is shown as a William married to a Jane Nicholas is still in doubt and may as I beleive turn out to be his brother Joseph. The line still goes back to Sir Admiral John Hawkins, it is just a matter of getting the right brother of that generation.

Hope to see you on the Tree :)

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
